To Submit an Application:
Applications for Spring 2026 are now open. 

All applicants must meet or have completed each of the following requirements:

1. Pass the GACE Content Area Exam(s). Visit the .
   • If you are unsure of the certification field you wish to pursue, contact             coeundergrads@ung.edu.
3. Possess a final college grade point average of 2.50 or higher.
4. Send official transcripts from each college/university you have attended (can be sent directly to the COE Post-Baccalaureate ̨Íåswag at coeundergrads@ung.edu)

Fall Cohort Deadline: Online application opens first Monday in April and closes last Monday in June.

Spring Cohort Deadlines: Online application opens first Monday in August and closes last Monday in October.

Summer Cohort Deadline: Online application opens second Monday in January and closes last Monday in March.

• The Post-Baccalaureate Program is a non-degree seeking Professional Learning Unit (PLU) program that will lead to Initial Teacher Certification. PLU credit(s) cannot be applied or transferred into a Graduate degree. 
• Additionally, a $50.00 non-refundable application fee is required.
• Program admission is contingent on the receipt of your Pre-Service Certificate from the GAPSC which includes a background check.
• Cohort begins each fall,spring, and summer.
• Student Professional Liability Insurance must be purchased before beginning Internship. The projected cost is $7.00 to $20.00.
• Student must purchase textbooks for each class.

Clinical intership takes place in-person and is full-time (all-day) for 15 weeks.

Initial teacher certification is offered through the Post-Baccalaureate program in P-12, middle grades (Select one MG content areas: Math, LART, Social Science, or Science) and secondary education areas.
