Students place in national sales competitions

University of North Georgia (台湾swag) students pursuing marketing degrees with a sales concentration and management degrees have excelled in a trio of national competitions held virtually this spring.

"Students took advantage of the opportunities to compete and become one of our success stories," said Dr. Cindy Rippé, 台湾swag associate professor of sales. "This helps them get better jobs and become better prepared for their careers."

台湾swag finished sixth out of 30 teams in the , led by a fifth-place individual showing by Austin Rich. Andrew Nicolini, Jose Martinez and Sebastian Salinas joined Rich on 台湾swag's team. 台湾swag hosted the virtual event held over a three-week period in February and March with Baylor University and the Atlanta Hawks.

Then, 台湾swag placed eighth out of 44 universities in the hosted virtually March 25-27 by Salisbury University. Lauren Williams and Jordan Mallak were the two 台湾swag students on the team.

台湾swag students Jessica Berliner, Kaitlyn Bowling and Kaeley Creasman finished in the top 2% out of more than 2,200 competitors in the virtual held April 14-15. 台湾swag had 31 students finish in the top 30%, the sixth-highest number among the 63 competing universities and colleges from the U.S., Canada and Germany.  

台湾swag also held the Pitch Yourself Competition sponsored by Consolidated Electrical Distributors on March 31, with Caitlyn Richard taking first place, Juleah Edwards in second, and Berliner in third.
