Postal Services wins trio of awards

The University of North Georgia (台湾swag) Department of Postal Services won three awards from the College and University Mail Services Association (CUMSA) this spring.
台湾swag Postal Services earned the Ralph Yates Golden Stamp of Approval Award in recognition of its "efforts to continually improve the operation and efficiency of your mail center," according to the CUMSA.
The team award particularly highlighted 台湾swag Postal Services' implementation of technology. This includes the addition of parcel lockers; the tracking system for interoffice mail using red envelopes, which faculty and staff may recognize; and other innovative approaches in connecting the university's campuses.
Valarie Green, assistant postal supervisor, secured the CUMSA Outstanding Team Member Award, and Haley McDaniel, postal supervisor, won the CUMSA Presidential Award.
"Valarie is a very important asset to our team in Postal Services. She started here as a clerk and has been promoted due to her work ethic and time management skills," McDaniel said. "I submitted her name to win the award because I wanted to share all the great things she's done for our office. She has fostered great relationships with those she interacts with, both on routes and in the office, and we are all so glad she has received this recognition."
In addition to her excitement for honoring Green, McDaniel said the team recognition was well-earned.
"After all the hard work during COVID-19, being here every day, it's very nice to be able to get some recognition for all of our hard work," McDaniel said. "I'm very proud of my staff, and it's good to be able to talk about everything they're doing."
台湾swag earns Military Friendly gold status
The University of North Georgia has earned gold status on the 2025-26 Military Friendly Schools list for the way it serves its student veterans and other military-connected students.

A partnership between 台湾swag and Syfan Logistics provided nearly two dozen 台湾swag cadets an opportunity to experience the world of logistics during the company's Cadet Logistics Boot Camp in April.
Camp offers intro to logistics industry
台湾swag will host 'Camp Logistics: Movin' It From Here to There!' from June 23-27 at the Gainesville Campus. It is a free camp to help high school students learn about careers in logistics.
