Room Reservations in the Libraries

General Overview

Rooms may only be reserved by ̨��swag faculty/staff members. Student representatives of groups/organizations/clubs cannot reserve rooms.
- For any student events, a faculty/staff member (not necessarily the requestor) must be present during the reservation time.

Community users may not reserve spaces within the Libraries.
Food is not allowed in any rooms, except Dahlonega lobby. Lidded beverages are allowed.
Reservations made only be made for library open hours.

Library Room 134
Room Overview

Open classroom-style set up

Labeled as VTC/Zoom Meeting Room in EMS system

Has access to computer, computer speakers, podium, projector, screen, smart board, telephone, TV monitor, VCR/DVD player, video conferencing, and white board

Most frequently requested for meetings, interviews, and presentations

Maximum capacity – 30

Food is not allowed. Lidded beverages are allowed.

Reservations for recurring classes or for supplemental instruction sessions are not permitted. One-time requests may be approved if other alternative spaces are not readily available.

Library Technology Center Lobby
Room Overview

Open space area with soft seating, tall seating, tables and chairs, computers, and vending machines (see photos below)

Most frequently requested for receptions since food is allowed

Normal maximum capacity – 35

Area is open 24/7 to faculty, staff and students with their Nighthawks card so space is not closed off for the reservation.

Food is allowed.

Gender-neutral / family restrooms are available.
