All students should complete a Confirmation of Acceptance; however, the method could be different depending on your circumstances. Refer to the Undergraduate ̨Íåswag Confirmation of Acceptance page for what action you need to take. You must submit your confirmation by our deadlines, or if accepted after the confirmation deadline, within two weeks of acceptance.

Those required to attend orientation must complete the Confirmation of Acceptance process prior to receiving access to the Orientation Reservation system.

Those not required to attend orientation must complete the Confirmation of Acceptance process prior to receiving access to the Online Pre-Orientation modules.

You will use the same username and password to log in to a number of important university systems.  to find your username and enroll in the password management system.

Note: When setting up your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), before setting up biometric approvals (face/fingerprint), please define your phone for calls and texts to prevent issues when authenticating to additional devices. 

Once you have activated your ̨Íåswag account, for your security, all ̨Íåswag contact and correspondence will be sent to your ̨Íåswag email account. Please also use your ̨Íåswag email account when contacting ̨Íåswag faculty and staff. It is important to be checking this email consistently on a weekly or daily basis.

Please note: After a student is admitted, it may take up to 48 hours before the student's information is available to activate. If you are not able to activate your ̨Íåswag account after 48 hours, contact the IT Service Desk at 706-864-1922 for assistance with activation.

If you’d like assistance in paying your tuition and fees, the Financial Aid office may be able to help. Financial aid encompasses both federal and state aid programs, including federal loans, scholarships (for academics, athletics, leadership, etc.), and VA benefits. We encourage you to explore all your options and carefully determine the right amount of aid for your circumstances. Ì¨Íåswag offers a convenient payment plan through a third-party company to arrange monthly payments. If interested, students can enroll in the payment plan in Banner after class registration. 

After submitting your financial aid application, you should be very pro-active in monitoring your eligibility and award status via your BannerWeb account.

Special Notes for Transfer Students:

1. If you have already submitted your FAFSA for the academic year you will be attending ̨Íåswag, you will need to go to to make a correction to your FAFSA by adding ̨Íåswag's school code: 001585
2. Loans at your prior school must be canceled before you can request any remaining loan funds from ̨Íåswag. 
3. All final transcripts from prior schools must be submitted to ̨Íåswag before your financial aid eligibility is determined.

The Financial Aid Timeline is a helpful tool for all students.

Important Note:  Although you can apply for most forms of aid at any time during the academic year, it’s best to submit your application and all required supporting documents before the priority deadlines to ensure your aid can be processed and awarded prior to the start of term.

• Summer Priority Deadline – April 1

Only the Dahlonega Campus offers on-campus residential housing. Students enrolling on all other campuses can use the to learn more about rental and roommate options near those campuses.

There is a residential housing requirement on the Dahlonega campus for students that have not satisfied the minimum semester hour requirement with very limited exceptions. All full-time students accepted on the Dahlonega campus of ̨Íåswag should carefully review the Residence Policy.

Dahlonega Residential Students (Non-Cadet)

If accepted as a residential student on the Dahlonega Campus, you must submit a housing application. Once your Confirmation of Acceptance form processes, the Office of Residence Life will email additional instructions via ̨Íåswag Student Email. This email also signifies that you now have access to the Housing portal/application process. You are encouraged to start the process as soon as possible and monitor your ̨Íåswag emails closely once you have started for further instructions.

Please note that even if you decide not to attend ̨Íåswag, you are still responsible for the $150 housing application fee if you have already applied for housing. If you decide not to attend after choosing a bed and submitting the housing contract, you must submit a completed Housing Cancellation Request to the Office of Residence Life.  Financial penalties may apply.

Cadet Housing Contract

Cadets will need to visit the Cadet Housing page to sign housing contracts.

Cadets who apply for housing will be charged a $150 one-time, nonrefundable housing application fee. After signing your Cadet Housing Contract, the Assistant Commandant will notify the business office to apply this fee to your student invoice within 7-10 business days and you may pay it with your tuition and fees.

Students attending an orientation will have a different fee payment deadline which will be after their scheduled orientation session. You will learn more about this at orientation. We do encourage you to go ahead and set up a payment plan after you are registered for classes, but prior to orientation if needed.

All vehicles on campus are required to register for a valid ̨Íåswag parking permit. Parking permits will be available for registration for summer and fall starts on August 1. Students beginning classes in the summer semester do not need to register for a parking permit until August 1. Learn more about registering your vehicle.

All new students who are attending regularly scheduled classes (including distance learners) or are receiving resident credit are required to submit a Certificate of Immunization (PDF) to Student Health Services. All students must electronically submit an immunization form via the .

Students will have a registration hold placed on their account preventing registration for a second semester until this documentation is submitted.

to ensure that the Office of ̨Íåswag has everything they need to finalize your admittance and begin courses at ̨Íåswag. A complete list of ̨Íåswag paperwork can be found on the . Scroll to the bottom to view holds that may prevent you from registering for classes in future terms.

*If you have been classified as an out-of-state resident for tuition classification purposes but believe this designation is incorrect, please review the residency policy and complete the Application for In State Tuition. 

1. Log in to  and select the Student view
2. On the Banner Student Home Page, underneath the “Student Services” section, select “Student Profile”
3. On the right-hand side, select "Holds"

Orientation (OR) Hold: If you have an OR hold, please note it will be automatically removed once you complete orientation requirements.

Registration Agreement Needed (RN) Hold: This hold prohibits registration. It is required every six months.

To remove the hold:

1. Log in to  and select the Student view
2. Select the four-square icon in the upper left corner
3. Select "Banner"
4. Select "Student"
5. Select ""
6. Read the terms of agreement and select "I agree" at the bottom
7. Once "I agree" is selected, the hold will be removed

Reference the Student Holds website for an explanation of other holds and how to remove them.

1. After attending live virtual orientation, students who do not already have a time ticket will receive one to make course schedule adjustments if needed, pending course availability. The time ticket refers to the window of time that the student is permitted to build a schedule, add classes and make changes to classes prior to the first day of class. The time ticket becomes available once the student satisfies any orientation and advising requirements.
2. Students have until noon on the last day of "drop/add week" to make schedule adjustments.
3. Please review the Core Curriculum and your Plan of Study before attempting any schedule adjustments.
4. Find information on How To Register using the Nighthawk Registration system. Students will be able to search for in-person, hybrid, and online courses within the Nighthawk Registration system.
5. You can reach out to your Academic Advisor for assistance if you are unable to adjust your schedule on your own.
